Anslem Oshionebo is the former owner of Ping Express, a money-transfer service that eliminates the problems of traditional money transfers. Anslem is passionate about providing a product that allows people to have full control over their money transfers without the need for external agents. He oversaw the product and software development.
Aside from Ping Express, Anslem Oshionebo has an extensive background in complex accounting, finance, strategy, financial forensics, and financial reporting. Each of these skill sets has solidified into a foundation for leadership at Ping Express. Anslem is able to navigate the delicate intricacies of the financial services industry, specifically regarding laws and regulations imposed by various states and countries. He is currently focused on growing further in the fintech industry and continuing his entrepreneurial ventures ventures with experience in product and software development, while optimizing the software development cycle as a development operations engineer.
Prior to his professional career in finance, Anslem Oshionebo earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, he worked as a field engineer plus IT development. However, Anslem went back to school and got his Masters Degree from Seton Hall University and gained his CPA certification. Anslem is also certified as a Fraud Examiner, as well as a Chartered Accountant in Nigeria. Prior to Ping Express, Anslem also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, creating new training materials, providing instruction on various subjects, consulting, writing thought leadership materials, and working to help transform small businesses.
Although his educational and early professional background first led him to a different path, Anslem Oshionebo has discovered his passion for software development, finance and leadership, making him a great CEO and President for Ping Express. As he furthers the company’s growth and development, Anslem also hopes to further grow and develop himself. It is his priority to remain up-to-speed on new product development, emerging technologies, financial technologies, leadership skills, and business acumen.
Outside of a professional environment, Anslem is also a dedicated volunteer in the community. Through his personal funded private foundation, he contributes to kids in elementary schools in Africa. He also volunteers to teach children at his local church, as well as coach a local soccer team. He is a USSF licensed soccer coach He plans to continue to find ways to give back to his community both at a personal and professional level.
