His career combines deep technical expertise with practical leadership across multiple industries, with a strong focus on oil and gas.
He is CEO and President of Tenaza Asset Recovery & Intelligence, Managing Director and CEO of Haricot Energies, and Founder and Managing Director of a consulting and software development firm focused on technology improvement, compliance monitoring and operational efficiency. He previously co-founded a software technology company that grew more than 500% year on year and expanded into over 32 countries.
A mining engineering graduate who began his career as a field engineer, with experience in oil and gas and construction management, he built his finance career at PwC in Nigeria and the United States, including a two-year rotation in the firm's National and Technical Accounting Research Office. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), a Certified Public Accountant in the United States and a Certified Fraud Examiner, working across the US and Nigerian markets from Dallas, Texas.

In January 2026, Anslem led the refurbishment of Jattu Primary Health Centre in Edo State, Nigeria, restoring electricity after more than eight years, rehabilitating the water supply for hundreds of families and donating medical equipment. The project was covered by more than 25 outlets, including AP News and The National Law Review.
In 2020 he received the Immigrant Professional Excellence Award at the Immigrant Journey Awards in Dallas, and he writes the Challenges of an Immigrant series.
He supports the Anslem Esi Foundation, which provides learning materials to school children in Nigeria, volunteers as a teacher for young children at his local church in Dallas and coaches a youth soccer team.
