In January 2026, Anslem Oshionebo partnered with fellow philanthropists to refurbish the Jattu Primary Health Centre in Jattu-Uzairue, Edo State, Nigeria. The project marked the first anniversary of the passing of his father, the late Rev. Felix Oshionebo, and was dedicated to the community his father loved.

Electricity restored after more than eight years

The health centre had operated without electricity for more than eight years. Restoring power means medical equipment can be used safely, medicines can be stored properly, services can continue after dark and emergencies can be handled with far greater confidence. Community leaders described the return of electricity as one of the project's most important achievements.

Clean water for the centre and its neighbours

The long-dormant borehole was rehabilitated and expanded, with new storage tanks and taps installed along the perimeter fence. The water system serves both the health centre and the surrounding community, giving hundreds of families access to clean water.

Equipment for maternal and child health

Anslem personally donated an examination couch, a diabetes monitoring machine, a blood pressure machine, a wheelchair and a baby-weighing scale, strengthening maternal and child health services and day-to-day patient care.

Speaking about the project, Anslem said the renovation honours his father's memory and his commitment to Jattu, and expressed the hope that the improvements will bring lasting healthcare benefits to the community.
